How We Make Our Podcast

The routine behind How We Measure - how we record, edit, and publish an episode.

We have two podcast concepts under the How We Measure name:

  • How We Measure - Barış and Berkay's podcast. Chill, casual tone, mostly in Turkish. This is the one that's live today, and what the rest of this page describes.
  • How We Measure | Accurate Data Club (coming soon) - the global, English-language version. Coming soon, with more B2B marketing-oriented guests.

We record How We Measure fully online, over Riverside - no studio, no in-person setup required. Barış and Berkay host every episode together, and a typical episode runs about 35 minutes.

The rundown

Every episode follows roughly the same shape, whether the guest is a founder, an investor, or someone from the analytics world.

We open with a warm-up chat - a few minutes of small talk before the real topic starts, to get everyone comfortable and give listeners context on who they're talking to. Then we move into the main discussion, agreed on with the guest ahead of time so nobody's caught off guard, but never scripted - the best moments come from genuine disagreement, not from following a Q&A script. Near the end, we do a fun, fast-paced fun Q/A segment as a deliberate tone shift, and close by asking what's inspired the guest over their life, not just their career.

After recording

Once we're done, we edit the episode and send it to the guest for approval before it goes out. After that, we publish it on:
