# Tealium Pricing 2026: What $1,000/Month Includes and What Still Needs a Quote

Tealium Data Cloud Activation costs $1,000/month billed annually. Data Collection and CDP remain quote-only, and the difference between those tiers matters.

Tealium now publishes $1,000 per month for Data Cloud Activation, billed annually. That plan starts with data already sitting in cloud systems and sends it into operational tools.

Website and mobile data collection sit in the next tier. Identity-resolved profiles and personalization sit above that in the CDP tier. Both require a quote.

All plan information below was checked against the official [Tealium pricing page](https://tealium.com/tealium-pricing/) in August 2026. Tealium can change packaging and contract terms, so verify the current quote before committing.

## Tealium pricing plans in 2026

| Tier | Published price | Primary job |
|---|---|---|
| Data Cloud Activation | $1,000/month, billed annually | Activate cloud and warehouse data |
| Data Collection | Custom quote | Collect and govern client, server, and mobile data |
| CDP | Custom quote | Build profiles, resolve identity, and personalize experiences |

The public entry price represents a $12,000 annual commitment. Tealium does not publish prices for the collection or CDP tiers.

Data Cloud Activation starts from data in a warehouse or cloud source. Data Collection adds websites, apps, servers, and zero-party interactions. CDP adds the customer profile and identity layer used for audiences and personalization.

If your project begins with a website tag, mobile SDK, or server event endpoint, you are not evaluating the public $1,000 tier by itself.

## What the $1,000 Data Cloud Activation plan includes

Tealium lists these capabilities:

- Reverse ETL
- Context API
- More than 300 connectors
- Data transformation
- Unlimited cloud data sources
- Unlimited users
- Unlimited destinations
- Enterprise SLA
- Enterprise security

Data Cloud Activation transforms data already held in cloud systems and sends it into advertising, CRM, messaging, analytics, and other operational tools.

Unlimited sources, users, and destinations make the package easier to budget than a per-seat or per-connector product. The public page leaves compute undefined.

---

## Data Collection is a different purchase

The quote-based Data Collection tier includes everything in Activation, then adds:

- Client-side and server-side collection
- Mobile SDKs
- Zero-party data collection
- Real-time activation
- Real-time consent capture
- Consent enforcement
- Unlimited data sources
- Custom Insights and observability
- More than 1,300 predefined integrations
- Dedicated support

Tealium also describes a composable CDP capability in this tier. The exact boundary between that capability and the packaged CDP above it belongs in the quote and solution design.

The tier that receives events from your websites and mobile apps does not have a public price.

Do not take $1,000, add it to a budget, and assume you have priced Tealium iQ, EventStream, mobile collection, consent enforcement, and implementation. Ask Tealium to map every required product and capability to the quoted tier.

---

## The CDP tier is also quote-only

The full CDP tier adds the capabilities most buyers associate with AudienceStream and an enterprise Customer Data Platform:

- Real-time customer profiles
- Real-time identity
- Raw and enriched customer insights
- Packaged and composable CDP options
- Personalization for web and mobile
- Call-center integration

These features serve a wider program than marketing measurement. Identity rules affect customer service, personalization, lifecycle messaging, analytics, and data governance across business units.

A rollout touches data architecture, security, procurement, and implementation across the business. Tealium does not publish a standard CDP license or implementation price.

## Which tier your project actually needs

Map the requirement to the tier before reading the price.

| What you want to do | Tier | Published price |
|---|---|---|
| Send warehouse or cloud data into ad, CRM, and messaging tools | Data Cloud Activation | $1,000/month, billed annually |
| Track a website with a tag or data layer | Data Collection | Quote |
| Track a mobile app with an SDK | Data Collection | Quote |
| Collect server-side events | Data Collection | Quote |
| Capture and enforce consent | Data Collection | Quote |
| Resolve identity and build customer profiles | CDP | Quote |
| Build cross-channel audiences | CDP | Quote |
| Personalize web or mobile experiences | CDP | Quote |

One row has a public number. Everything a tag management or measurement buyer arrives for sits in a quoted tier.

If your project starts with a website tag or a mobile SDK, the $1,000 figure in search results is not your price and cannot be used to size a budget.

## What the $1,000 price commits you to

| Term | Detail |
|---|---|
| Advertised rate | $1,000 per month |
| Billing | Annual |
| Year-one commitment | $12,000 |
| What it covers | Reverse ETL, Context API, 300+ connectors, transformation, unlimited cloud sources, users, and destinations |
| What it does not cover | Website, mobile, and server-side collection, consent enforcement, identity resolution, profiles, personalization |

Renewal rates are not published either. Compare that $12,000 against a publicly priced collection tool before assuming the entry plan competes with one.

## What “pay for compute” leaves unanswered

Tealium describes its model as consumption-based pricing where customers pay only for what they compute and control which data they send.

Tealium says deleted cookies and multi-device users do not inflate the bill, unlike MTU-based pricing. The public page still does not provide enough detail to calculate it.

The pricing page does not state:

- The definition of one compute unit
- The compute included in each tier
- The rate for additional compute
- Whether transformation, identity resolution, or activation consume different amounts
- How historical reprocessing or traffic spikes affect consumption
- Whether unused commitment carries forward

A quote needs those terms to turn “consumption-based” into a number.

Ask for a sample calculation using your own monthly event volume, transformations, activation cadence, and profile workload. Put the included commitment and excess rate in the order form.

---
---

## Costs the public page does not settle

Tealium's public pricing does not assign numbers to:

- Initial implementation and migration
- Event specifications and data-layer work
- Identity design
- Custom connectors or transformation logic
- Premium professional services
- Training beyond included support
- Additional environments or contractual requirements

Implementation work may sit in the negotiated package or with an agency, systems integrator, or internal team. Ask who owns it before comparing Tealium with a product that bundles implementation differently.

Data Cloud Activation is advertised as $1,000 per month but billed annually. The procurement number is $12,000 per year, not a cancellable monthly subscription.

## When Tealium is the right call

Tealium fits an enterprise that needs a shared customer data program across several business units.

Data Collection standardizes web, app, and server collection. The CDP resolves identities and builds profiles, while Activation moves governed data into hundreds of operational systems. Dedicated support and enterprise controls match a program with a data team and formal ownership.

Buying all three tiers creates a broad program and more implementation work. A marketing team asking only for better conversion signals may be buying far beyond the problem if it starts with the full CDP.

## How Hardal compares

One governed first-party event stream feeds advertising APIs, analytics tools, warehouses, CRM systems, and custom endpoints. Hardal also includes [data transformation and governance](https://usehardal.com/etl), attribution, core web and mobile reporting, plus managed sGTM and gateway options. The Enterprise plan supports self-hosting.

Hardal plans start at $249 per month for 5 million events. Tealium's $1,000 plan activates existing cloud data, while its collection and CDP tiers require quotes. The starting numbers describe different jobs.

Use Tealium when real-time identity, customer profiles, cross-channel audiences, and an enterprise integration program are requirements. Use Hardal when marketers need reliable measurement and ad platform delivery without rolling out that full CDP architecture.

They can also work together. Hardal can collect and govern marketing events, then deliver them into Tealium or a shared warehouse for enterprise identity and activation. Define which system owns schemas, consent, and identity first.

## The short version

Tealium prices like the enterprise platform it is. One tier carries a public number, and it is the tier furthest from a marketing measurement project.

If you need real-time identity, customer profiles, and activation across hundreds of operational systems for a business with a data team to run it, Tealium is a serious answer and the quote will reflect a serious program.

For better conversion signals and reliable campaign measurement, price the collection tier explicitly, get the compute unit and included volume in writing, and check that number against the tools that publish their rates.
