According to the [official Chrome timeline](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/develop/migrate/mv2-deprecation-timeline), Chrome 138 disabled Manifest V2 extensions for regular users on July 24, 2025. Chrome 139 removed the remaining enterprise exception. The original uBlock Origin, often shortened to uBO, uses Manifest V2.
